- Where are your jobs advertised?
We post positions on our website. Occasionally, we use CapitalAreaHelpWanted.com, Times Union, various local newspapers, New York's One Stop and local colleges.
- What is the hiring process?
We require applicants to have valid work authorization documentation to apply and employs those who are legally authorized to work. After your application is received, we review it for appropriateness of the position. If you are considered for the position, you will be contacted for an interview by the hiring manager or designee. The process may take several weeks.
- I am not sure which position to apply for. What should I do?
Review all the open positions and choose a position that you meet the qualifications and apply.
- What are you looking for in applicants?
We are looking for people who love to work with others to help them gain independence and personal growth. Please indicate any experience working with people with developmental disabilities. Experience with people with developmental disabilities helps, but Wildwood trains employees who meet the qualifications.
- How can I check on the status of my application?
Due to high volume, we ask that you do not call us. If you would like confirmation that we received your application/resume, you get an automatic e-mail confirmation of receipt after you apply online.
- Do you have internship opportunities?
Yes, we welcome interns affiliated with an educational institution and are seeking credit. Please apply to the "volunteer" position on the career page. State the area of interest or program that you are interested in and apply in the same manner as regular job applicants.

- What is the age limit to work, intern, or volunteer for Wildwood?
You must be at least 18 years old.
- Do you conduct background checks?
Yes, depending on the position you are applying for we conduct criminal background checks consistent with all applicable laws. If you are applying for an internship or would like to volunteer you may have to go through background checks.
